Sims 3 keeps Freezing and having Graphics errors before crashing. [Mac]

I recently downloaded The Sims 3 for Mac, and it's been having problems since. Just for context, I load up the game, it's fine, I started by doing character creation and then built on an empty plot for 3 hours. After this, I went to live mode, and it played fine for around 5 minutes before then displaying the rainbow wheel and freezing with graphic issues, such as texture merging and slowness when moving around. However, the sound continued to play as normal. 

Setup Details:

Macbook Pro 13inch 2019

GPU:  Intel Iris Plus Graphics 645 1536 MB

Processor: 1.4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5

Memory: 8 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3

MacOs: 15.4.1 (24E263)

Anyone got any idea for a fix? Is this a memory or graphics issue?

    fdefd5196d347e96​  Which expansion packs do you have installed, and what world are you playing in?  Do you have any mods or custom content installed?  It's fine to use mods and cc; I just need to know.

    No mods, no cc, no expansion packs,  base game freshly installed and just the original starting world.

    fdefd5196d347e96​  Then try lowering lighting and tree detail to the minimum settings.  If that alone doesn't help, disable Advanced Rendering, also in the graphics settings.

    When you change any graphics setting, do so at the Main Menu, then quit to desktop before loading a save.  You can play with the settings if you like, at least once the game is stable.
