Sims 3 launch problems - weird debug message
Hi there, I've been having trouble opening either my Sims 3 base game or my Sims 3 64-bit and metal game on my Mac (High Sierra, version 10.13.6). As much as possible, I've tried repairing/updating...
@MadsSims For the 64-bit version's error, go into Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 and delete Version.tag. You'll need to do this every time you switch game versions because the 32-bit and 64-bit versions both write to this Sims 3 folder.
The download in progress error should be cleared up with an Origin reset perhaps followed by repairing the game, which you can do by right-clicking the game tile and selecting Repair.
If you want to address the 32-bit issue as well, let me know. But unless you have a specific reason for running that version too, it's probably easier to just stick with the 64-bit version.
