Sims 3 Midnight Hollow Download

I have got most of the Sims 3 games, and they seem to play fine, but Midnight Hollow, well, it is just dreadful.  My character is constantly freezing while all still goes on around her which is irritating to say the least, but also caused me to have to drop her out of  Uni as she kept either being late for lectures or not getting there at all.  She is also - well sorry to sound a bit nasty - but a bit thick despite having a genius trait.  If I get her to talk to ppl she stands and looks at them for what seems like ages, b4 she says anything, and if the character is still there when she speaks, they just seem disinterested.  

I have tried her on different expansion packs, as I said uni, and also World Adventures but the same thing happens.  

I thought it could be because I had a lot of stuff on my laptop, so I deleted a number of programs I never used, but still no good.  I tried another character in another world and it worked perfectly.  I am seriously peeved as I am virtually housebound due to illness at the moment and I have spent a fortune on Sims3 and have pre-ordered, Into the Future and Sims4, but in all honesty, I am seriously thinking of canceling them as if things go like they are on this new World, I hate to think what issues I may get with any other ones.

I thought about uninstalling it and then re installing but I don't have a clue how to do it, plus I have battled thru and managed to get her to visa level 1 in China as well as brown belt in martial arts, so  losing this would be a pain.  

Anyone else having similar issues???  And/or and suggestions as to what I am able to do??

    It seems that only the one sim is affected and you can try the cheat reset sim (name). Some of these glitches seem to permanent. I don't think reinstalling will solve this problem because if you reintroduce the sim it may have the same traits. I do not work for EA and am a user like yourself so canceling your preorders will not affect me. I have had to restart my game several times because of glitches. This is part of being a gamer.

    Thanks for ur reply, I will try that in a whiie.  I appreciate u don't work for EA, and me going on about cancelling orders is of no interest to you - I was just having a rant as I was getting really, p****d off with it.

    I usually play online, so I had a go at playing offline, but that was no help, so, that was that!!!!  I stupidly deleted all off my old games, (in a fit of peak!!) so all my old sims have gone to the grim reaper without any mourning etc!!  I just thought that maybe I had too much saved, so that was not the thing to do as that made no difference either!!!

     

    So, will give your idea a go and see what happens, but would be good to know if anyone else is having any similar issues???
