@rasmaldus I take it you don't use mods? There are a few mod-related ways to try to fix this, and they're generally more reliable than the other available approaches. So let me know if you'd like to add a few that help with travel transitions.
If you don't want to, that's understandable; here's what you can try:
- Empty your sims' inventories as much as possible. A few items is fine; a hundred is not.
- Use "save as" to rename the save, then quit (without saving) immediately before you want to travel.
- Load the game just to the Main Menu. Turn off memories, the in-game shopping experience, and the hidden object interactive loading screens.
- Lower all the graphics settings to the minimum. (You can revert to your normal settings after the travel transition.) Now quit the game again, without loading a save.
- Delete the five cache files in your game folder in Documents: CASPartCache, compositorCache, scriptCache, simCompositorCache, and socialCache.
- Empty out everything in FeaturedItems as well.
- Sign into Origin, put it in offline mode, and take your computer offline, as in, disable wifi and/or disconnect the ethernet cable, before pressing play.
- Now launch your game, load the save, and travel your sims right away, as soon as the game clock starts moving forward.
If you do get your sims safely to France, please keep a spare copy of the save from before they traveled, just in case they can't get back home. It does happen, and presumably you'd rather not be able to travel than see your sims stranded on vacation.

Hi. @puzzlezaddict
Yes, I don't use mods, but I will willingly do it if it can help my game.
Though I have no idea on how to download the mods, so leaving me a tutorial of sorts will help me out a bunch and list me the steps I need to do. 🙂
I tried your method and it still doesn't work, so mods is my last resort.
Thank you for your help!

@rasmaldus Here's a good tutorial for using mods:

The ones that help with travel are NRaas ErrorTrap, Overwatch, and Traveler. I'd also add MasterController and run a town reset before your sim travels home. Click on City Hall, and select NRaas > MasterController > Town Options > Reset Everything. This command can take a few minutes to run, depending on how complicated the world is and the speed of your hardware.
This is not an absolute last resort, but the other suggestion I have involves deleting the current instance of France in your save and letting the game spawn a new one. So you might not want to do that for various reasons.
