The problem is not just Linux. The issue is the CPU. EA did a poor job "patching" support for modern PC's. My OS is not a issue. Based on my research, EA launcher appears to be broken for a lot of people including Windows users. EA needs to release an updated version that support modern CPU's. An likely a good idea to stop trying to force/integrate your App with the game. Great marketing concept on paper. Not in real life/practice. Please fix the CPU bug. Sims 3 and Sims 4 are both broken.
