No other NRaas mods need an update.  The only other core mod hosted there is UntranslatedKey, which is for developers and never had a 1.69 version anyway.

@jmhtogether31  You don't need any Alder Lake fix anymore, patch or otherwise, at least for an EA App install.  That was the point of the patch, to fix this specific problem without the player needing to take any further steps.  You also don't need to remove your script mods if you have any, although core mods like ErrorTrap do need an update.  (ET has been updated; see above.)

@Lebe17  This patch isn't available in macOS because the issue the patch fixes doesn't affect Macs.  The 64-bit Mac version of Sims 3 is a whole other subject.  If you'd like help with your game, please post in the Mac tech forum:

The activation window won't go away no matter what I do. I tried what you said but it is still not working.

@NurseAngela36  So clicking Exit does nothing, and neither does Xing out the window?  What if you click alt-F4 when viewing the window?

Yesterday I updated the game and playing feels normal, it works as usual. But today it told me that the program file needed NET Framework 5.0, idk why if I didn't change anything on my computer. Anyway, I activated the NET, but when I try to open the game it doesn't open. I don't know if it's related to the update, I hope not.

@Qkaender  Do you mean .NET Framework 3.5?  That's what Sims 3 uses, and that hasn't changed.

Yeah, I mean 3.5, sorry for the confusion. I did the DirectX diagnosis. In fact, the system was with the DirectX12 version. Again, I don't know why my computer changed the .NET and DirectX, there were no changes these days, only the update for Sims 3, there wasn't any new game or app that required a change or something. Weird, but now the game is working.

@KatAnubis  The issue only affects newer Intel processors, so if you have an older one, or anything from AMD, you would be unaffected.  My originally-fancy-but-now-a-bit-old CPU wasn't affected either, and frankly, no one really needs a current high-end model just for Sims 3.  But that extra power is nice to have for (mild) futureproofing if nothing else.

@Qkaender  Sims 3 has always required DirectX 9, which is separate from DirectX 12 and can be installed on a DX12 machine.  DX9 was current when the game went into development, and there was apparently no reason to update to a newer version later.  DX12 does not include DX9, so its presence isn't sufficient to make Sims 3 work.  .NET Framework 3.5 includes 2.0 and 3.0, which .NET 4.x does not, so it's also been required for Sims 3 since 3.5 was released.

I don't know why you saw the message about .NET 3.5, since you should have already had it installed if you were ever able to play on this computer.  But the important thing is that the game is working now.

Any idea on how to login though so I can access my downloaded custom content?

Too happy to install the game with the patch.
Until the same screen pops up to tell me it doesn't detect my graphics card 🙂
At least the game fits my screen now.
