Sims 3 Pets: All my pets are black

I brought Sims 3 Pegs today ( late i know) and I noticed all my pets are black and I can't seem to fix it. I've been researching and I still can't seem to fix it. If someone could help it'd be great.
  • If you computer ran the base game fine, I would assume that it can run pets ok. There are a few things you can try.

If you are on a windows, run it as administrator. And if you are on windows 10 or 8 try running it in compatibility mode for Windows 7.

If you have the game on Origin, right click the game, and click repair.

Try uninstalling the whole game (all expansions) and install them again.

If none of these work, let me know, and I'll try to find some more fixes for you,

@surelyamparo1225  Your computer does not meet minimum requirements. The speed of the processor is 1.6Ghz and has a boost (not turbo) of 2.16Ghz which is below minimum requirement. The minimum requirement is a P4 at 2.4Ghz. This will greatly affect performance as the integrated vieo chip has the same clock. The Intel HD Graphics chip which is integrated into the cpu chip is basically the same as the chipset integrated chip and has been known to have issues with PETS. There is no known solution for this issue. The I3 is the weakest of the Intel I series. The integrated video system is using a substantial amount of the 4gig if main memory which will affect performance. Even is you add memory I don't think that would fix the short comings of the Intel HD Graphics chip.

What if I reset my entire laptop and delete everything, like brand new ?

@surelyamparo1225  First integrated video chips do not have true dedicated video memory - any video memory is borrowed for main memory. Some computers perform this magic turning main memory into dedicated video memory better then others. This can not be changed. The Intel HD Graphics chip is much the same as the chip provided in older chipsets. This can not be changed in a laptop. A desktop may have a video card slot to add a dedikcated video card. The Intel HD Graphics chip is not really supported by the game. Like all unsupported hardware it may or may not work and if it does work there is no guarantee it will always work and may quit at any time. The Sims 3 is a 3D graphical game and some gaming hardware is required. PETS is a demanding pack and issues with Intel HD Graphics is a known issue. This could be a video driver issue but Intel is not known for timely driver updates - a good reason to avoid Intel graphics for gaming.
