Sims 3 Pets didn't install properly

I downloaded the Sims 3 pets, but it didn't download properly so I tried to uninstal it. I did what the internet said and deleted the file but every time I put the disk in it says do I wish to delete it and all files I keep clicking yes but it won't re download! Someone help!
