SIMS 3 PLUS PETS

Question

Bought the game off of a friend,its the Sims 3 Plus Pets edition, with both the regular download of the sims 3, and the Pets expansion pack on one disk.Downloaded sims 3 first off, the base game everything is fine but now I cannot find where to download the pets expansion pack to add to the game.I have redeemed my online Pets code, but at the bottom of the sims 3 Launcher, it only says I have the base game downloaded. nothing else.Help?

What's your operating system ?

Did your friend give you the disc and their entire account ? Did you try to install from disc at alL ?
