Sims 3 registration code problems

Hi, I downloaded the Sims 3 through Origin on my mac and I'm trying to register my game on the sims website but it wont let me. I have retrieved my code through terminal and copied it exactly but it says that it is already pre-registered. When I try to download player created content it still wont let me and gives me the same response.  Please help, Im starting to get annoyed.
