hey so basically when I try to play sims 3 while the resource.cfg file is in the mods folder the game won't open, and it just takes me back to the ea app when I click play ☹️ I tried to see if maybe its one of the mods causing the issue, but I removed every single one and its still wouldn't work, removing the resource.cfg is only thing that helps, but I don't like playing without mods so I don't really know what to do please help me
@9karus Try downloading a fresh copy of Resource.cfg, in case your current copy is corrupted. This one (Resource.zip) definitely works:

When unzipping the file, use Archive Utility, assuming you're on a Mac, even if you have another app set as the default to open .zip files. You can right-click and select Open With if necessary.
If this new copy of Resource.cfg doesn't work either, download it using a different browser.
If you happen to have a Windows PC, the principle is the same—try this copy of the file, unzip it with the built-in Windows tool, try a different browser—but let me know anyway so I can give more specific suggestions going forward.
