Sims 3 saves no longer showing

Question

I was trying to clear space on my one drive and moved my sims files. I assumed the game would find them anyway, it didn't. Mind you the game itself is not installed on one drive and I wanted to have all the game info in the same area as the game itself. Anyone know how to get the game to register the files and save where you want them to? It behaving like i just installed it, all content, saves and everything is not there even though the files very much still exist. I'm not especially tech savy so please help.

Side not sims 4 does this too anytime i try and move it

archangelofdawn​&nbsp; You need to find the location of the user folder Sims 3 is reading and put your saves there.&nbsp; The game won't find your saves anywhere else.&nbsp; Since Sims 4 has the same issue, and there's an easy way to find that user folder, start there:

The correct Sims 3 folder will almost certainly be in the same location.
