Sims 3 saying I need to install origin to play game but origin already installed.

This is the error message I am getting, "Origin is required to play this game. Please install origin and relaunch game. If origin is already installed and the game is not running, please contact customer support."

I did not download this game through origin or any online website. I went into the store and got a physical game with an actual disk. I downloaded origin like it wanted me to and ive played this game twice and it worked fine. Now it will not let me play the game and keeps giving me that error messege.I have unistalled and reinstalled and it still will not let me play the game. Every message board post I read keeps telling me that I do not need to have origin in order to play this game if I have a physical disk. The game a got from the store is not an expansion pack. It is the actual first game that the Sims 3 created. Can someone please help me?
