Sims 3 Seasons - Always loading in Summer

I save and quit and let's say the season is Fall, when I load up the game again, it starts in Summer, at the beginning.  Is there any way to fix this?!  I'm really getting tired of always playing in ...

Do you have any mods in your game ? Are you on a Mac or PC ? Do you have issues with any other options resetting (besides the lunar cycle which is broken) ?
