Sims 3 Seasons Mac Installation

Hello,

So I bought the Sims 3 Seasons yesterday and installed it on my  iMac, and it went smoothly. However, when today I inserted the disc and clicked on the game's icon the Sims 3 launcher turned up under the Sims 3 Showtime, which I had installed previously. In the bar in the launcher bottom, it said that I did not have the Sims 3 Seasons. I tried launching the game and it said the disc was not inserted, and asked me to insert the Showtime disc. I played the game but unfortunately, no features from the Sims 3 Seasons were present. Any help is much appreciated, thanks.

I am having the exact same problem.

I installed Seasons just as I have installed every other expansion, but the icon on the launcher is faded (implying that the game is not installed), and when I loaded the game there was no Seasons content (no weather, weather options, items, lessons, or venues). The game asked me to use the Master Suite Stuff disc instead of Seasons.

I'm also on a Mac, but have never had any installation problems before.

If anyone has ANY idea, please help.

    Thanks.

Yeah, it's a bit of a worry when so many people have the problem yet there is no solution!

The same thing happened to me so I tried uninstalling all of it and reinstalling just the sims 3 base game. Afterwards I manually patched the game with the newest patch using the instructions here https://help.ea.com/article/problems-patching-the-sims-3. Afterwards I just redownloaded all the expansions and it worked like a charm.  Hopefully this helps!
