Sims 3: Sim icon blank, can't interact with Sim

I have two students in university, both of their icons are pure green. I can't select my other sim and the one I am currently in control of won't move or do any interactions. I bought the game off origin and have a mac. I have tried resetSim and moveobjects. Please Help!

There's two reasons for blank icons:
Corrupt clothing. This is usually resolved by changing the cloth on the dresser or by resetsim (since this didn't work for you, it's probably the other)
