Wow. I just tested it by bulldozing and putting down the grid and what do you know, it worked! O.O
The guy is right, must be the meteor rocks/daisies causing the crash.
edit: Or raindrops? :P
But I just cant bulldoze my own house when I decide that I want an extra floor to avoid crashing ☹️
Is there gonna be a fix patch soon or maybe a possible work around?
OFF TOPIC:
Is this a place where I can report bugs also? Because one of my sims just RAN over the ocean water (Jesus style. haha) to get to a fishing spot. It was a shorter route (smart sim LOL) but kinda bizarre.
You can report in that thread I linked but it's already listed. Also a common issue 🙂
EA never gives out infos on patches and what they are going to fix. So, really don't know what to do, but I'll add that to the Crash FAQ.
EDIT: Did you re-place the house from the bin as well ?
I'm a little unsure on the steps taken. Could you repeat them step by step they way you did it ?

Oh I was referring to busanfaa post. But I tried building another floor to my house and it didnt crash! :D
My problem was restricted to community lots, but bulldozing, putting the grid and then editting prevents the game from crashing.
Thank you so much for your help! 🙂)

Did you put the same lot back or is it just an empty lot now ?

I copied the pinocle pond lot first to the library, bulldozed it, then put down the grid then returned the Pinocle pond.
Its a hasle but this way I could save it without crashing
