I have just bought the sims 3 supernatural expansion pack it downloaded fine however, the game will not install. It says i need to update my sims 3 when i've checked several times and i am up to date...

thank you for getting back to me, it says im on version 10.0.96 i've tried to find more udates and it says i am all up to date any suggestions?

You need to desperately update. Look at the link I gave you above and download the super patch and install it manually.
