Sims 3 towns don't save

My computer had this serious problem and a bunch of files were deleted. So I had to use all of the backups that were saved a while ago. It took a long time to get everything back but finally I was able to play sims 3 again. I thought it was back to normal until I realized I lost all of my sunset valley and twinbrook saves. The still existed in the files, but not on the main menu. Even when I started a new town and saved it didn't show up. What do I do? ☹️

    Do none of your saves show up or only the ones in those two towns ? Did you try saving a game with a really weird name and then search your hard disc for it to make sure there aren't saved in a different folder ?

    All of my other saves show up, only sunset valley and twinbrook never shows up. I found them in my files but I don't remember where.

    That's weird. But the worlds show up to make a new game in, right ?

    Yes they do. I can create a new game with those towns,but if I save and quit, or save to main menu, they don't show up and I can't play them again.

    Do try a weird name and search your hard drive for it.

    So i named my world ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ and found it in the sims 3 file (saves). It's in the same file all of my other working saves are in.

    That was a world with Sunset Valley or Twinbrook? Does it show up in your game now?

    Twinbrook. No, it shows up in the file, but not the main menu.

    Actually, for Sunset valley I looked through all of my saved games on the main menu and found only a few. I know I had a lot more than just a few Sunset valley worlds. When I save them now, they dont show up, like the twinbrook ones. Theyre in the exact same file as all of my other working saves.

    Help! now my starlight shores are not saving! they used to work just fine, but now they arent! What happened?
