@wiegehtsss wrote:Hello I have the following problem.
I have a new macbook pro and I bought Sims 3. everything worked great.
But then I bought the Traumsuite Accesoires Pack ( i think the english version is called High-End Loft Stuff). this will also be shown in my origins 'my games' . but when i click on it, the icon appears in my dock but dissapears after 2 seconds. nothing will load.
origins shows me that the game is installed and should work fine. it also tells me i have played it 0 minutes before. the original sims 3 still works fine.how can i play the sims add on?Is there a way to download the accessoires pack into my computer, and not play it directly over origins?
thank you!
Hi
Are you able to open the game launcher by clicking on the base game icon in Applications/The Sims 3 folder, rather than opening it through Origin? If so, do you see the small icon for the Stuff Pack at the bottom of the launcher? Do you also see the shortcut icon for the Stuff Pack in the Applications/The Sims 3 folder alongside that of the base game and any other installed expansions and stuff packs?

Hi! I can see the app icon for the base game in my applications folder and open it with no problems. it opens the launcher but only the base game is lit up at the lower icon list.
also there is no stuff icon in my sims 3 folder...

☹️OK, in that case the stuff pack has failed to install.
Sometimes the download or installation fails. This can be for a variety of factors, including your internet connection dropping out during the download. Sometimes this can result in an awkward situation in which Origin acts as though the game is installed correctly. This means you can’t play the game, but nor will Origin let you re-download it. You cannot easily “uninstall” the game, because of course it isn’t there.
There are two things you can try.
1.Go into Applications on your Mac's hard drive and look in the folder called “The Sims 3”. This is the location from which your game actually launches (as opposed to a similarly named folder within Documents, which is where your saves and other data are stored). In the folder in Applications you will see the shortcut icons for the base game as well as any expansions or stuff packs installed. If you can see the icon for the game that has failed to properly download from Origin, try right clicking on it and this should give you the option to show the original file. You can move the original files to the trash from there. This may allow you to commence a re-download from Origin. (Many thanks go to Tremayne from TS3 Mac forum for this suggestion.)
2. Look in Preferences in the Origin client and find the game installers. Delete the files relating to TS3. Log out of the client, then back in, then you may be able to start redownloading.
If this does not work, or if the icon is missing from the “The Sims 3” folder in Applications, then you may need to completely uninstall and reinstall.- ApprovedAnonymous11 years ago
Hello!
Thanks for helping me out dude!
1.So when I go into my Application Folder there is only one app which is the base game. No expansion pack icon!
2. I don't understand what you're saying ☹️I Can see both games in origin. But what do you mean with 'game installers' ,how do i find the preferences and what is ts3?
sorry !
