Sims 3 University Life won't play

So at christmas i got the sims 3 university life as a present and downloaded it via origin but when the sims 3 launcher comes up and i press play nothing happens, the game doesn't run at all, i've tr...

    Hi @Toniamy1, 

    sorry for not getting back to you.

    Your computer is too low in specs to play the game. Try getting a refund for the expansions. 

    Also try updating your graphics drivers.

Was really hoping that wasn't the problem, I'm getting a new PC soon anyway so I'll just keep the games, thank you anyway
