Sims 3 will not launch on my PC

Hello!Please help!I just &nbsp;purchased Sims 3 on Origin. It was a downloaded version (no CD required). When it finished installing in Origin, I clicked "Play" and a new window came up (the EA manager blue launch screen) which said "There was an error during startup. Please see the Log for more details." I uninstalled EA from my computer a long time ago. Could that be why this is happening? I also do not know what "Log" means so I cannot check it for details. PLEASE help me out with my problem. &nbsp;😕mileysad:&nbsp;This has been an ongoing problem from my previous attempt to buy and play the Sims... I just want to play it!Thank you!!

If you did not clean out your registery after your first installation, could be that there's still some left over keys. The thread should have the details you need.

I also have had an ongoing problems with the launcher errors. I went through meticulously everything that was stated in the thread to get rid of everything in the registry. Uninstalled/reinstalled and still my launcher crashes before it opens up. What could be the problem now? Contacted EA advisor and they didn't tell me anything that I hadn't already done. Thanks.
