Sims 3 will not start after pressing the play button

Could you post this info: 

1. Click on Start and then type the following into the search prompt at the bottom: perfmon /rel
2. Press Enter to proceed.
3. A window will open and in there you can click on the red circles with a white X.
4. After clicking the X, the info on the bottom will update. Choose the Sims 3 Critical Event one and right click on it and choose "View Technical Details"
5. Now on the next window, choose Copy to clipboard at the very bottom and post this into a reply to us here.

What is your base game version right now ?

Open the launcher and check the number in the lower left corner.

If you're not at 1.67, please update your game.

My game is version 1.67

Try manually uninstalling Origin using this process: http://help.ea.com/en/article/manually-uninstalling-origin/ and reinstalling it again. I've had a very similar issue before (Dead Space 3 would run in the background and then *vanish* everytime I launched it), and this seemed to do the trick.

Still no luck. I did what you told, but Sims 3 wouldnt start like before.

Weird that the error is for ts3.exe but since you started it through there it might be from that incident. 

Is that the only one or do you have any that say ts3w.exe instead ?

When did you buy the base game ? Before or after September 2012 ?

I have TS3W.exe, but the same thing happens with that application. I bought the game after September 2012. It  was working fine before, but all of a sudden, it's not working ☹️

Then it might be Origin. Is Origin running ? Do you have any Origin critical events ?

Also try if it starts whn you close Origin after you started the launcher

So

1. Start Origin
2. Hit play on the game
3. Wait till the launcher comes up
4. Close Origin (completely, click error on the message you get)
5. Hit play on the launcher

I did what you instructed, but still no luck. However, there are no critical errors reported in the Realiability monitor when I start the game.
