rinniex00 CrumbledCrumbs If you've installed any mods, please move the Mods folder to the desktop and test. You don't need to save your progress or even load a save; just see whether you can get to the Main Menu. If this works, the problem may be an incompatible mod, especially a core mod that's built for a disc or EA App install rather than Steam.
If that doesn't help, try forcing the game to launch in windowed mode. Open Options.ini, in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3, search for fullscreen , and set it to 0 (zero).
If that doesn't help either, please provide a dxdiag. Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop. From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
hi, thank you. I don't have any mods, and not even folder in documents - the game has never started, the launcher doesn't open, when I click play in Steam itself, nothing happens.
