Sims 3 worlds won't load

I have been struggling to actually get my Sims 3 game to work past the main menu screen. I have repaired it, uninstall and reinstalled it, and still can't get it passed the menu screen... If I try to load even the basegame worlds it says they aren't available or aren't there..
