sims 3played w/ disc.

I found all the caches and do what you suggested about delete them and moved the family out / plus again by evicting but I am still getting the same weird popups while playing; any more suggestions. these are played w/ my disk set of the games.

859janie  Sorry for the late reply; I've been away from the forums for a while.  Does this happen when you're playing in a standard house, not an apartment lot?  Are any of these items anywhere on the lot?  And to be clear, is this a new save, or are you still trying to recover your old save?  It's fine to try to work with your old save; I just need to know whether the problem showed up in a new save as well.

Yes standard house/ built houses  doesnt seem to matter, and no the items are not there that i can see on the lots. Ive been using the testingcheatsenabled true sometimes ;dont know if that has something to do with it. all new games started in new neighborhood but using the same person/ i actually have 2 of them kinna like twins but with different money amounts, and different traits, so they are never in the same house together, always have them separate, one of them works just fine no weird popups and the other is when i get all the weird popups. doesnt matter if she is alone or if i put other people in w/ her it still happens. And to answer yur ?? I had to delete all the old games and make new ones for her. Still happens again w/ just the one. maybe cause she has like 999999999999 bunches of money it maxes out the money screen and  she doesnt get any money for selling paintings etc, anything that makes her money it doesnt count it. lol says it games bank cant handle it so put it in  their offshore account .

859janie  Try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 3 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see whether the problem happens.

If the new save is fine, you can copy your sim from the old Sims 3 folder to the new one.  The file for the "household" you saved would be inside Library, and it wouldn't have an obvious name, but you could copy over everything in Library if you wanted, or just find the file with a time stamp corresponding to whenever you created this sim.

nope sorry didnt work and my sim wasnt in the library and the game also lost my graphic card... thanks for the help but i just gonna put it all back like it was w/ both my different games and play them or watch them play lol.

859janie  The game didn't "lose" your graphics card.  You get one "unrecognized graphics card" message for each new Options.ini file, after which the message is suppressed.  A new user folder means a new Options.ini, so you saw the message again.  As a side note, I can help you get your GPU recognized if you want, but that doesn't have anything to do with the current issue.

If you'd still like to try to fix it, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

When i started it back again it picked it up like u said the folder with that infro. wasnt there for it to read but its back now but still didnt fix my original prb. but gonna work some mor e on it today. I want to keep one of the 2 games  i have  just need to fix 1 of them the other is still working just fine. If  i dont take the whole sim3 file out just the 1 game thats messed up cant i fix just that one and still keep my other on and working, if so what do i need to do? am still not sure but maybe the sim in that game is whats messes the that game up she must be bugged, and that is what is causing all the prb. w/ that game. like i said gonna work some more on it today. hate to have to delete her , worked  a long time working and leveling her to the max and making all her money.
