Sims Ambitions and Late Night 'incompatible' with Sims 3

I recently bought an Origin Sims 3 pack which contains the Sims 3, Late Night and Loft Stuff plus I purchased Sims Ambitions seperately on Origin. I first downloaded Sims 3 and updated it, then Ambitions and Late Night. When uploading both expansions there is an error message which states that the game is more recent than expected and it may be incompatible. 

The first time I ignored this message and went ahead and played the game. All seemed well until the game suddently closed down and a message popped up saying that 'Sims quit unexpectedly.' I have uninstalled all the games and re-installed plus uninstalled/reinstalled Origin and nothing seems to work. I am uploading the games onto Mac, I have uploaded the game onto two different computers so I know it is an error within the game and not on my end. 

If anyone has had this problem before and knows how to fix it I would really appreciate it.
