there could be a stuck sim somewhere try the reset all sims cheat to reset all sims ctrl+shift+c hold all 3 together in the menu bar that appears at the top of the screen type in resetsim * (inculding the * hit enter ) this will reset all sims inculdeing your own

I just tried that but it still has a click delay on things from time to time.
island paradise i have the same lag issues there too (all my other worlds play fine ) and had to do some editing via edit town i moved the scott family they live on a house boat i moved them to a house and the it's either the prince or price famly live on a red and white house boat moved them out too a house too crin has some tips here in the last post on other things to try to help reduce the lag
