Sims3 Freezing upon gameplay loading

lidn0m1krbgf No, removing the folder in Documents > Electronic Arts shouldn't cause the game to need to be reinstalled unless you've installed it there in the first place. If you have, please uninstall it and reinstall elsewhere, really almost anywhere else would be better. Having the game installed into Documents could also explaiin your original issue.
If you installed the game somewhere else and are seeing a message about downloading files, it's probably not coming from the EA App but rather OneDrive, which could be syncing your user data along with everything else in Documents. In that case, pause OneDrive syncing, move the folder out again, and then test the game.
