So I recently installed Sims 3 Starter Pack on my computer (windows 10), but it's not launching. Like I click 'play' and it doesn't do anything. It's not even generating a sims 3 folder. I've already switched on compatibility mode and rebooted my computer. How do I fix this?
@ChrystalMermaid Sims 3 uses a launcher to start the game and that requires .net framework to run. This is not enabled in Windows 10 by defauilt. Go to Control Panel, Programs and Features, Turn Windows features On or Off, check .NET Framework box, click OK. Windows will now enable .NET Framework. Reboot computer and try game.
@ChrystalMermaid Try reinstalling DirectX 9. You don't need to uninstall anything; just download the installer from Microsoft and run it.
