Slow Sims 3 Download Speed

As of right now my Sims 3 is downloading at a range of 100-115 KB/sec....and this is just ridiculous. I have left it going for about 13 hours now and I still have 13 left to go. How can I speed up this download? What is the issue that is causing it to be so slow? I have changed my DNS settings to the Google one and that really hasn't improved past adding 5 KB/sec to the speed. The last time I used Origin to download it took about 4 or 5 hours. How can I fix this problem?

There's several things you can try but it also depends on the load on the EA servers

Make sure nothing is blocking the connection (firewall, anti virus, another program)

Start Origin as Administrator

Use a LAN instead of Wifi

Thanks for the suggestions. I've tried all of them except using the LAN instead of Wifi. I'm under the impression that these solutions would work, but they don't right now because the EA servers must have a heavy load. I've got several more games to download and it just doesn't look like things are going to get any faster. But all that aside, thanks for the help.

Same with me, I have left it for a few hours now and the time goes up instead of down...
