Spiral Staircases - Sims 3

Sorry if this is a redundant question - I googled a bunch before I ended up here, so I'm aware this question has been asked before, but none of the answers were satisfactory & I've never posted on here before so I didn't know how to then find the thread after sign-in, without spending more time than I'd like to doing so..

OK - SO - Spiral staircases in Sims 3 - I have absolutely no problems with them - other than the fact that my adult pets cannot use them..

I realize kittens & puppies can't - duh, but my adult pets cannot use them either, so I have gotten used to just having all my pets' needs on the ground floor..

This annoys me, however, and I want to be able to have my adult pets use the spiral staircase, it takes up very little space, so I prefer it in my lot designs.

I use cheats, so teleport is fine for my active household, but I want to be sure that my entire town is able to have their pets access the upper floor(s).

Suggestions? Input of any kind?

    have you tired to move the spirals by a little bit , placed  straight not on a diagonal it could be it's too close to a wall or something else that may be too near the stairs ,a window,curtain, painting  wall  lights
