starlysh Please post a screenshot of your graphics settings. Open the settings, put the game into windowed mode, and use Windows key-shift-S to take a screenshot.
Please also open DeviceConfig.log, inside Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3, and post the first 40 or so lines. (Stop when you get to Options.) You can delete your user and computer names, about 20 lines down; the file doesn't contain any other personal information.
