I’m looking for some insight/advice for my recent problem. After I installed the 1.38 patch and Supernatural EP (I installed both at the same time), my game became very laggy and continuously freezes (couple of seconds at a time).
1. Are you using any Custom Content or mods? No
2. If you are using mods, are you using any of the 'big ones' like Awesome Mod or Twallan’s mods? No
3. If you're not using mod, did you never use them or did you take them out for the EP (as you are supposed to do)? Never used them
4. Did you update the mods you put back with a compatible version? N/A
5. Do you have Supernatural or just the Patch? Both
6. Which Patch Level are you at? 1.38
7. Did you start a new game for Supernatural or are you playing an existing ones? New game, in fact I wiped clean TS3 folder in My Documents
8. What town are you currently playing? EA or Custom? EA - Moonlight Falls
9. What is your Operating System (Mac, XP, Vista, Win 7)? Windows 7
10. Do you have the download or DVD Version of the game? DVD
Lagging/Freezing or any other issues of more technical nature
- What EPs do you own? All EPs, SPs, & most of the store content
- Some basic Info about your Computer (please NO DxDiag, they are too long for this thread). Processor, Amount of RAM, Graphic Card and Operating System (Mac, Win 7, Win XP)? Windows 7, 3rd Gen Intel Core i7 processor, 8 GB DDR3 memory, 1 TB hard drive, & NVIDIA GTX 660M graphics card
- Do you have a 32 or 64 bit Operating System? 64 bit
- Do you use any Store Premium Content? If so Which ones? Yes (baby swing, wind chimes, deep fryer, ice cream maker, sauna, massage table, hypnotizer, chocolate fountain, wishing well, blackjack table, slot machine, tablet, crystal ball, voodoo doll, cauldron, book of spells, super sleeper, foot massage chair, tree of prosperity, rock wall, cow plant, & gumball machine)
I just purchased this gaming laptop specifically for this game and I’m concerned that it isn’t good enough. Basically, I am wondering what your opinion is on if it is the game or the computer that is the issue. Your insight is greatly appreciated.
