Supernatural won't finish start up and crashes

I recently acquired a new laptop. A Dell Inspiron 1511, or something like that. I finally managed to download Sims 3 and the expansion packs WA, LN, Pets and Supernatural. I have Seasons and Island Paradise, but couldn't get Seasons to download because it wouldn't complete an update. So I figured, what the heck I'll just play Supernatural since it was the last to download completely. I've tried to bypass the launch since it kept popping up that I wasn't online (but I am on my home wifi). It will go through the first opening but once it goes to the second part of start up (the tips screen) it crashes and says Windows is searching for a problem. I've tried turning off Norton and downloading patches. I am stuck and it wont start up. I just don't know what else to do. Please help!

I don't understand specs but it has Intel Pentium 3558u @ 1.70 GHz and 4.0GB installed ram on a 64bit operating system, x64 based processor and it is running Windows 10 Home
