The gift of speech baby monitor

I have had this problem ever since I have bought the Lullabies and Nursery Rhymes set, when I put the baby monitor near the crib/cot my baby or toddler will cancel the action I click on. I have tried moving the monitor around the crib/cot and nothing also I've tried using 'moveobjects on' cheat but still nothing.

It shown on The Sims 3 website on a picture on how you can use it so I copied that and still nothing. Am I doing something wrong? Or can't your baby or toddler not use the monitor in the crib/cot? Thanks.

    place another monitor elsehwere in the house say the sitting room or parent/s room so one in the baby's room one elsewhere in the house see if that works for you

    Yes I already have they are all placed around the house, I don't think my toddler can get to it or something because its not doing anything😕 Thanks for your help anyway🙂
