Unfortunately, this is a known bug and seems to be triggered by the login. When playing logged in, something is preventing the process to finish.

Try starting your game without logging in, choose your family and then login from within the game.

    Yes, it's the same issue. Did you try not logging in ? You will need to log out each time you go to uni.
