@resinator11 Please attach your deviceconfig.log, in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3. (Even if you've attached it somewhere else, it would help to have it here too, for easy reference.) You'll neeed to manually open the folders; the file won't show up in a search. You can delete your user and computer names, about 25 lines down, but there's nothing else in that file that can identify you.
Does it help to turn all the graphics down to their minimum settings and play in windowed mode? I'm not saying you necessarily have to continue playing that way, just that it's a useful test.
Please also test in Sunset Valley, Twinbrook, or Riverview, to control for any issues related to how well the worlds themselves run.
Im having a similar problem where I load a game and I play for around 5-10 minutes then my game will freeze. My games volume will continue( like the clicking sounds and world surrounding noises) to play but, my screen will be frozen and my mouse will have a spinning rainbow. I waited around 5 minutes to see what would happen and it was still frozen. I entered window mode and my world started glitching back and forth from the frozen screen and the unfrozen screen
- 5 years ago@Qissaucegod I've been having this exact problem since last October. I haven't been able to play then game at all. And i noticed that if i try to start a new game in a different world the screen with the loading bar just starts glitching and jumping so i have to force quit (sunset valley is a good example) but when it's Starlight Shores it loads fine but then after a few minutes of game play I experience the same thing you just described. It's so upsetting because I miss playing this game.
