The Sims 3 and expansion download problems

I just resently got my laptop replaced, on my old one I had all of my sims expansion and stuff packs downloaded and they work with no problems. But with my new computer only the base game works. I have tried reinstalling the base and all the expansion packs but no change, I have also created and exception on my anti-virus but it didn't help. So basically once I open the launcher it comes up and when you hit play it loads then does nothing, I have alot of money invested and would like to get this problem solved please and thank you šŸ™‚

    Please try the following to turn off bitDefender (credits to Kiaori) 

    1. Open bitdefender
    2. Go to settings
    3. Open Antivirus
    4. Go to the tab Shield 
    5. You will see Active Virus Management and to the right of that you will see on/off. 
    6. Put that off

    Ʈs a but odd. Did DxDiag also crash for you ?

    The info about your processor is still missing from the DxDiag so I don't know if something went wrong.

    it came up with an error message but it went away to fast, and also when I go to open my sims now its says theres a scrpti error

    Weird.

    ScriptError is a separte issue and depending on what it says, it's an issue on EA's side (if it says sponsorad somewhere, then it's on EA's side)

    Did you just install one expansion and try with that ? Do you know what kind of processor you have (that's the part DxDiag cut off) ?

    It seesm the dxdiag is not running correctly. First the AMD Radeon HD 8610G is the graphics chip in the AMD A10 cpu. While this combination  is good there are certain aspects that don't quite work for TS3. First the A series cpus do not have a level 3 cache and that hurts performance. Second according to notebookcheck.net the 8610G does not have dedicated video memory and your dxdiag says it does. I have not had the opportunity to investigate this difference. Avcuf32.dll is part of BitDefender and BitDefender has been known to have trouble with TS3. Windows Defender (free with Windows 8) replaces Microsoft Security Essentials. The AMD Radeon HD 8610G shaders can be used for general computing and the A10 is not a true quad core processor. The cpu performs like an Intel I3 and the graphics chip performs somewhat better then an Intel HD 4000. While this is the best of the AMD A series, an AMD FX processor with a DEDICATED graphics chip would be a better pick to play TS3.

    when I bought my computer they told me i had a decitated graphics chip because i told them i would be playing sims on it and they said it would run it perfectly. And also i have tried downloading them all indiviually and none of them work

    Please try the following to turn off bitDefender (credits to Kiaori) 

    1. Open bitdefender
    2. Go to settings
    3. Open Antivirus
    4. Go to the tab Shield 
    5. You will see Active Virus Management and to the right of that you will see on/off. 
    6. Put that off
