The sims 3 freezes completely when I try to unpause the game

Hello, I’ve recently started playing the sims 3 again, getting the game and all the expansions back. The problem is, after I make my sim and move them into a new house, and I try to unpause the game ...

thank you for your response! Sadly, despite doing everything that you suggested, i could still not fix the issue.. oh and yes, i can see my  previous households.

@kdaatkfeqrd9  What antivirus do you use, and does it help to set an exception for TS3W.exe?  What kind of install is this: disc, Steam, or something else?
