The Sims 3 game freezes but animations continue

Hi, I know lots of people had this problem before but I'm posting this because I've tried everything I could find on this and still the game freezes. It's a temporary freeze, but it last for about 10 seconds and happens REALLY often. Things I already tried:

  • Repairing game files through EA App
  • Mods recommended on reddit/steam community/AHQ such as NRAAS, Smooth Patcher....
  • Limiting the FPS
  • Reinstalling everything
  • Running it as admin
  • Running it in compatibility mode (Windows XP & 7)
  • Starting the game with Pets expansion disabled
  • Using cheat codes to debug

DLC: University Life, Late Night, Pets, Ambitions, Generations, Into the Future, Supernatural, Seasons, Island Paradise.

Stuff Packs: Fast Lane, High-End Loft, Outdoor Living, Town Life, 70's 80's and 90's.

Worlds: Monte Vista, Hidden Springs.

Everything seems to be working just fine, except for the freezing.

    @Zakhrii  What world are you playing in, and does this happen in a new save in Sunset Valley?  Have you confirmed that your in-game framerates are in fact limited?  The cheat fps on will make an fps counter appear in the upper-right corner of the screen.

    Please also list the mods you've installed.  It's fine that you use them, but a few popular ones are outdated or broken to some extent.

    The reason your DeviceConfig lists Windows 8 is that Sims 3 is older than Windows 10 and doesn't recognize it properly.  This has no effect on performance.  You also don't need to run the game in compatibility mode; it works fine in Windows 10 and 11.

    By the way, your graphics card and its VRAM are unrecognized at the moment.  If you'd like help fixing this, you can use the GPU Add-on tool here:

    Or I can help you edit the .sgr files by hand if you prefer.
