The Sims 3 Island Paradise Icon not in launcher

I recently purchased the sims island padise on the sims website and downloaded through origin, it seemed to download fine but when i open the launcher to play the icon is not there and it tells me i cannot play the game!!! please someone help because now i feel like its such a waste of money!!!!
