I just wanted to know, how come my Sims 3 games keep on lagging. Is it because of my worlds, custom content, not enough storage, graphics card? Please tell me. My Sims never was quite like this. It only started once I downloaded all the expansion packs and started adding new worlds and cc. I'm not sure if it is because of my computer. I have the latest patch for the Sims 3. Here are some of the lags I am getting. For example, I press on a Sim to interact with them and it take 1 or 2 seconds which is I think a bit of time because some youtubers who play the Sims, it takes them half a second for the menu interactions to pop up. Now when I press on my own Sim, it take 5 SECONDS!! This I know for a fact should not be happening. Another thing is the worlds... in general. When I try to press on a building (unless it's a small building) it lags so much. I honestly have no idea why so can someone please help me . It also takes ages for the clothing to show in CAS. I'm not sure if this is normal because I have all the expansion packs which does give me a lot of clothing but please tell me. It takes a really long time for everything and I really want to fix it. Please help me !!

@ULTIMATE1256 First - Windows 7 main support is over and now on extended support. Second 3.8 Gb free space is not enough for the Windows operating system and games that swap large files in and out like Sims 3 does. Third 50 Gb is not large enough for the Windows operating system. The AMD Radeon HD 6450 Graphics is not a very strong video card for todays 3D graphical games - very entry level. You have a slim line case which makes upgrades hard. The cpu is really at the minimum for this game. The page file is 4Gb and with 3.8Gb on the system drive your out of storage so I suspect you are out of primary storage. I don't know why you are running your machine from a vhd (virtual storage device). There is no turbo boost in the cpu. DDR2 memory is dead. My recommendation is to get a bigger hard drive - gen it up the way it came and see how it run Sims 3.

@ULTIMATE1256 First - Windows 7 main support is over and now on extended support. Second 3.8 Gb free space is not enough for the Windows operating system and games that swap large files in and out like Sims 3 does. Third 50 Gb is not large enough for the Windows operating system. The AMD Radeon HD 6450 Graphics is not a very strong video card for todays 3D graphical games - very entry level. You have a slim line case which makes upgrades hard. The cpu is really at the minimum for this game. The page file is 4Gb and with 3.8Gb on the system drive your out of storage so I suspect you are out of primary storage. I don't know why you are running your machine from a vhd (virtual storage device). There is no turbo boost in the cpu. DDR2 memory is dead. My recommendation is to get a bigger hard drive - gen it up the way it came and see how it run Sims 3.

While your lappy may suck, did you have issues when you first started playing ? If the answer is yes then it's your computer but if it worked fine then the answer to your lag is you have too much stuff in your inventory. Every item in your inventory is individually monitored, which is a crazy system but then I didn't make the game. So 300 oranges = 300 items which the computer has to constantly check, which even my super computer can't handle, so as soon as I get any lag everything goes in the fridge, this will instantly solve any game lag issues that aren't your pc. There will be one lag interaction now whenever you open the fridge it will take a second or 2 to give you the menu but that's far better than constant unplayable lag. Hope this helps...

Dont forget your family inventory as well, warning if you have alot of items in here do not sell all in one go, guarantee to crash your game, tedious and slow but sell each stack by itself
