The Sims 3 Registration Code Invalid

I brought The Sims 3 and installed it to my Windows computer. I just brought a Macbook Pro and tried to register my game so I could digitally download it because Macbook Pros don't have CD drives and it keeps saying my registration code is invalid. What do I do?

    Did you register the game when you first bought it for PC ? If so, it should be on the Origin client to download. No re-registering necessary.
