claramj You already know where the points counter is supposed to appear, but sometimes it doesn't because the site isn't loading correctly. Try accessing it in a private browser window (to eliminate the effects of cached data), and if that doesn't work, try a different browser.
The site loaded my points just now, so the function isn't broken overall. But this does happen to me too here and there, and it typically resolves on its own, or when I clear my browser cache.
