The Sims 3 Supernatural Graphics Not Working

Help! I installed the Windows 8.1 update yesterday. Now, when I go to play The Sims 3, the graphics are in 2d and look distorted. The graphics are blue and red. I cannot even see my Sims. We have a GeForce 9600 GT video card on the computer. Could someone help me with my issue? The game was fine until the Windows update installed. Could the video card be an issue? I want to make sure that's not an issue before I spend money on a new video card. I'd appreciate the help! Thanks!

Possibly. Try if there are newer drivers for your card that work on Windows 8.1,

If not, try reinstalling the ones you already have installed.
