@isted2454 Your computer's processor is one of those affected by the Alder Lake issue, meaning if you haven't already, you'll need to apply one of the workarounds in the accepted solution of this thread:

However, your dxdiag doesn't list any Sims 3-related errors. That could mean that something is blocking the game from starting even before it can error out, or simply that your computer has generated enough errors since the last time you tried to play to crowd out the Sims 3-related ones. Two of those errors are related to the USB 3 driver, so please unplug all your USB devices other than the keyboard and mouse and restart, then you can plug them back in.
For the rest, please run a couple of basic checks on your Windows system files:
- Hit Windows key-X
- Choose either “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Command prompt (Administrator),” whichever option is offered
- Inside the window that appears, copy and paste “DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth” without quotes into the window, and enter
- The system will start validating soon. If it throws an error, please list it here
- After it reaches 100%, hit Windows key-X again
- Again, choose “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Command prompt (Administrator)”
- Inside the window, copy and paste “sfc /scannow” without quotes into the window, and enter
- Post the message you receive here
Restart your computer, hit Windows key-i, select Update & Security, and click the box to check for updates. If any install, restart again afterwards.
If you still can't play after all of the above, look for related entries in the Reliability Monitor. Hit Windows key-R and enter "perfmon /rel" without quotes. You'll see a list of errors and updates, with a column for each day. (Today is all the way on the right.)
For any errors that mention Sims 3 or the EA App from after you run DISM and sfc, click "View technical details," then copy the information and paste it into a reply here. The same goes for any error that happened at exactly the moment you tried to launch the game. Sometimes the Reliability Monitor doesn't update right away, so if you don't see any related errors, be sure to check back an hour or two. And if you can't find any errors at all, let me know; that's useful information too.
