The Sims 3 wont let me play

I have The Sims 3 along with all the expantions but movie stuff and 70s, 80s and 90s. When I get in the game, everything is fine until I get to the world view. There, when I try to play with a saved active family, the household members and property appear, but the buttons to select the household members are not there ( the ones on the left side of the screen). I can still give commands to the last selected member of the household, and it will perform, but I cannot chenge it nor access the menu on the bottom.

When I try to move in or select another family, the game gets to the finel selection screen, but the button to move in the family apperas greyed out and can't be clicked. So right now the game is completely unplayable. What is wrong? I tried running without custom content and factory reset, but they didn't work. I tried reinstalling The launcher (v 1.63) and nothing either.
