Town Life Stuff Bug - HELP!

I am having an issue with my new expansion on Sims 3, which is Town Life Stuff.

I just purchased that expansion a few days ago, and everything but the city is working. The clothes, the hair, the washer/dryer, etc. EXCEPT the city, (Steinbirg I think it's called.) I was on the list when I'd click New Game, but every time I tried to enter it, it'd say "Not Responding." I've tried EVERYTHING, from clearing the cache to ending processes, to uninstalling/reinstalling ALL of Sims 3. Nothing is working - and now the new city isn't even an option on the list of cities!

Any idea how to fix this?

Thanks a lot guys,

Desiree

The Town Life Stuff expansion pack did not come with a new town. The following EP came with new towns:

    Ambitions -Twinbrook

    Nightlife - Bridgeport

    Pets - Appaloosa Plains

    Showtime - Starlight Shores

    Supernatural - Moonlight Falls

Besides these, there are towns available for download on The Sims 3 store:

    Riverview - free download
Barnacle Bay - purchasable with simpoints
Hidden Springs - purchasable with simpoints
Lunar Lakes - purchasable with simpoints
Lucky Palms - purchasable with simpoints
Sunlit Tides - purchasable with simpoints
Monte Vista - purchasable with simpoints
Aurora Skies - purchasable with simpoints

Any other town that appears in your game besides these, is not a town made by EA. It must have been downloaded from Exchange or created by you in Create a World.

Check the name of the town that you're having problems with, if it's not any of the ones mentioned above, than probably it's a town from Exchange with bad content. You won't be able to play it.

I was under the impression that there were going to be new parks, playgrounds, libraries, gyms, cafe's, etc. It said that there would be "Pre-Built Venues and Lots - Give your Sims’ town a new look with spectacular ready-to-go venues and community lots—"

Even if that was not in the form of a new city, I thought there would be new places to go. So I thought that meant city when Steinbirg showed up on the list, then suddenly it wouldn't work.

    Maybe I'm confused. :robotindifferent:

Yes, it came with new venues but not a new town. That city ''Steinbirg'' wasn't made by EA, choose one of the towns that I listed in the previous answer that are available in your game. Go into edit town mode, and click on ''show community lots'', you'll find the new buildings from the Town Life Stuff EP there. They won't appear by themselfs in the town, you'll have to place them yourself. If you have any issues, read this about editing your town and lot types.

  • Hi

I bought townlife and couldn;t use the disc (was the same with Seasons), my disc drive just would not recognise that a disc was inserted - I've solved this by registering my games and downloading via Origin - for seasons anyway.

But with Town Life - I have objects/clothes etc downloaded - only prep school venue - no other venues, and if I use anything eg object or clothes - my games crashes.
