Trouble downloading ultimate venue and stage & freestyle DJ booth-error message

I installed the sims 3 showtime game and then tried to download the limited edition venue and stage that came with the game and the freestyle DJ booth, but I keep getting the message "error:Requires missing expansion pack". I don't know if I am doing something wrong because I have downloaded other bonus/free content without a problem. I even restarted my laptop to see if it would work but it still shows the same error message.

    Got the same issue and I figured it out to simple fix as well. on your sims3 game lanucher is has some options like play,expansion and stuff, downloads, installed and uploads.

    You need to go and click on the expansion and stuff button and make sure that the showtime game is ticked to play once that is done go and down load the Ultimate Venue and Stage again and install it.

    It should now work I know it did for me.

    Thank Heavens for Sims players like you!!! If it wasn't for you I'd still Be stuck in chat trying to convince EA's Support people that The Sims3 Showtime and The Sims 3 Showtime Katy Perry Collectors Edition are the same dang game. I honestly wish EA had the Katy Perry Collectors Edition shoved where the sun don't shine!
